Does it drain the battery?
Between drives RytMiles only listens for the large movements iPhone already reports, which costs almost nothing. It records at higher precision only while the car is moving and stops a few minutes after you park.
What if it misses a drive or records one it should not?
Add a drive by hand, split a long one, or merge two. Anything sorted by a rule is marked, so you can see what the app decided and change it with one tap.
Which countries and rates?
United States and Canada at launch, in miles or kilometres. The IRS standard rate and the CRA per-kilometre allowance are built in and updated each January; you can set your own rate at any time.
Is my location data private?
Routes are stored on your phone and in your own account so they can sync between devices and appear in reports. They are never sold or shared, and you can export or delete everything from inside the app. See the Privacy Policy.
